Just outside Anza Borrego desert is the Salton Sea, a former resort town. It became inhabitable in the late 1950s due to the high saline content in the sea, and you can find abandoned buildings and living room contents strewn all over the land. The beach also has a bit of a crunch to it, which are dead fish bones!
